Does anyone have any memories of it that they would like to share?
I have some memories of listening to the cast recording that I'd like to forget!

The cast recording is wonderful, and the songs are an absolute delight. It's one of the cds I play the most, and with the most pleasure.
Just listening to the priceless Celeste Holm doing songs like "Proud, Erstwhile, Upright, Fair," (my favorite), "Way Back When," or "Give Me That Key," with the starch and exasperation of an oh-so-proper headmistress of a girl's boarding school fills me with joy.
Oh, Celeste, how we miss you!
The girls' songs are sweet, cute and whimsical as well. It's a lovely score.
The show, however, was something of a mess. It dealt with the hijinks of a mischievous group of girls at a British boarding school. The problem is it was unfocused, and all over the map. In the fog of it ll, the humor of the songs didn't resonate as they do on the cd. The audience really didn't know what to make of it. But Celeste Holm was properly befuddled through it all.
Whatever its flaws, I would take it a thousand times over the horrors that have won Tony Awards these past years.

After Eight, we've often seen eye to eye on here, but forgive me: of ALL things you DO like, you like THIS?
A somewhat amazing story about opening night of The Utter Glory of Morrissey Hall was that with the closing notice already posted, the wardrobe supervisor was in the wings, grabbing the costumes off of the actors and packing them in a trunk as the show was being performed.

Iluv,
As I explained, I love the score, the show, not so much.
