I saw it the night after it opened and she was on as Julia.

I thought she was pretty bad. Her voice was weak and her character stunk. I enjoyed the show but she was, to me atleast, it's downfall.

Nope--im absolutley positive it was her.

I remember it because as I was reading the playbill--I noticed the whole thing about how she was the first bride in Mamma Mia!

And she looked nothing like Laura Benanti.

hmm, interesting. okay, i guess i just misunderstood. well i'm sorry you didn't enjoy her when you saw her. When i saw her recently I really loved her in the role. SHe was very "drew barrymore" and i almost preferred her voice over laura's.

Maybe she's improved?

I don't know. To me she came off almost too innocent.

Like to the point of not being remotley believable.

You know, i spoke to Tina after the show(last Sat) and she said it was her 1st time and that she tried the costumes on that same saturday before the show. Laura wears a wig, I didn't know that it was her until her 2nd song.

Hey there had to join board's just for the record.I am a good friend of Tina's from Mamma Mia!She has only gone on once for Laura since WS started.That was last Sat night, when Laura's sister was in a car accedent.(she is going to be fine)Tina got the call to go on at like 7:20pm or somthing and was shocked as Laura has not missed one show.Teebz...I think it is funny that you thought for sure you saw Tina...NOT...you saw Laura. Littlewing I am glad that you liked Tina but I am real jealous as none of her friends got calls to see her in the show with the short notice she got.

Muscle...you are correct on the 730pm costume try on. I guess they have only made Tina the waitress costume yet not the rest of the outfits.Laura has a wig for the show but I guess they even put Tina on with her own hair.Sorry giving out to much info!!

I heard from friends who saw her she was really great. And wow! I didn't know about the 7:30 thing.. that's really amazing.

CurtainPullDowner, as always, will try to bash Wedding Singer and asks "How many shows has Laura missed since opening?" (hopeing it will somehow help his show).. Well.. she only missed one show. Ever.

Teebz.. You didn't see Tina.. I'm not even sure if you saw the show. I sat front row the night after opening with a friend, and Laura was on- and she was great as always.

Phantom2 Your shot of Drew from the movie is real cute and this is totally what Tina's hair looked like in Mamma Mia! Now I know she is a blonde but it is long and down her back now.I do not care what her hair looks like...just wish I had seen her do the show.

Okay. Honestly-you guys are all wrong.

I am 100% positive it was Tina night after opening. She has blonde hair. And the woman in the posters clearly had brown hair (Laura).

I'm looking at my playbill right now and looking at a picture of her. It was NOT Laura-it was Tina. The date was friday-April 28th.

Laura wears a blonde wig for the show.For the Seattle run Laura had a brown wig ...the brown wig you see in the poster's. Like I said Tina has gone on once TEEBZ and you missed it!!!

The show was 85% different in Seattle (different songs [Wonder and 8 Men were cut before Broadway previews], wigs, costumes, dialogs, views on characters, etc).

Laura has only missed 1 show I don't know who these people saw. I know that because I work there.
