Hi everyone. I'm new here. I'm Melissa. I had a quick question about getting a student discount on Wedding Singer tickets. One of my friends told me taht you guys on here could help me with that.
Is it possible to get the discounted tickets online? Because I would hate to go all teh way to NY then not be able to get a ticket.
Could someone explain how it all works?
I wanted to go in the next 8 weeks because I'm a HUGE Constantine fan and really want to see him.
Thanks, Melissa

No they're not available online.
If you're talking about Student rush tickets, that is.
You have to go to the theatre's box office the day of the performance you want to see and buy the tickets.
If you bought them online there would be no way of proving you were a student.

I can't really guess as to how many Constantine fans there really are...and how many of them are going to make the trip to come and rush the show.
So there's no way of giving you an answer. Get there no later than 10 AM...that's all I can say.

As far as when to get to student rush.. I would say get there EARLY if you want tickets for sure. Usually when I rush, I end up getting there at 8am, earliest.
Rush tickets are in the front row and they used to continue with rush tickets after selling out the front row and started selling tickets that haven't been bought yet as rush but last Sunday, they didn't do that and that is the only downside of getting there at 10 or later.
If you really want the tickets, get to rush early. Especially if you're going on a weekend

Yes, as dancing thrulife said, try www.broadwaybox.com
They have discount codes. They aren't as cheap as student rush but you will obviously be guaranteed a seat.

Posted: 9/6/06 at 5:28pmI saw TWS the first week in August on a Tuesday night with 4 of my friends. We got to the theatre approximately 7 minutes before the show began and were able to get 5 student rush seats together. They were good seats, too. There were at least 50 or 75 empty seats in the balcony that night, if not more. I don't know what the situation is now, but that was my experience.

"Rush tickets are in the front row and they used to continue with rush tickets after selling out the front row and started selling tickets that haven't been bought yet as rush but last Sunday, they didn't do that and that is the only downside of getting there at 10 or later."
I heard they did away with the "selling remaining tickets for student rush prices" policy, but can anyone confirm that?
Yeah I went on a Sunday, waited in line around 10:30 (box office opens 12 on Sundays; 10 other days of the week) and there were 4 people in front of me. I would say get there around 8 or 8:30 am...maybe no later than 9...9:30 may be pushing it. Honestly I don't know now with Constantine in the show. He might influence more student and/or American Idol fans to see the show, but overall I don't think there will be a major boost at the box office. I guess we'll have to see the grosses in the coming weeks.

Posted: 9/6/06 at 5:39pmMy friend got to rush at like 8:30 this morning (we were worried about more people showing up for Constantine, and it was her day off anyway) and she was the only one there for awhile. By the time it was 10:00, there was a line, but nothing all that major. You really just never know. The best thing to do is get there as early as you can - you might end up waiting around by yourself for awhile, but at least you'll be sure to get a seat. Bring a book and you'll be fine.
