I just finished playing keytar in a production of The Wedding Singer. Yes, as the only keytar player in the area, I get called up a LOT for this show. But the rest of the cast and orchestra and I were trying to figure out which specific eighties songs the various songs in the show were pastiches of. Help me out with the blank spots!

Someday- pastiches "Stuck With You" by Huey Lewis and the News
A Note From Linda- references Pachelbel's Canon, rock breakdown pastiches ???
Pop- pastiches "Kiss On My List" by Hall and Oates
Somebody Kill Me- pastiches "Lovesong" by The Cure
A Note From Grandma- references Pachelbel's Canon
Casualty Of Love- pastiches "I Love Rock 'N Roll" by Joan Jett, references "Thriller" by Michael Jackson, and "White Wedding" by Billy Idol
Come Out Of The Dumpster- pastiches "She's Out Of My Life" by Michael Jackson

Not That Kind Of Thing- pastiches "Jump" by Van Halen
Saturday Night In The City- pastiches "Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol, references "Holding Out For A Hero" by Bonnie Tyler
All About The Green- references "We Didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel and "Mr. Roboto" by Styx and "Money (That's What I Want)" by The Flying Lizards, pastiches "Love Potion Number 9" by Tygers of Pan Tang

I totally figured out the idea of "Not That Kind Of Thing: references "Jump" by Van Halen" the first time I heard the song!
I think rip-off is more appropriate of a word than pastiche in this case. Pastiche actually takes some craft and thought.

Watch the movie--almost every song in the musical is a rip-off or is at least thematically identical of the corresponding 80s song in the soundtrack. The Wedding Singer movie has a huge soundtrack that fits the movie perfectly, which IMO is why the musicalization was unnecessary.
The specific ones I can remember are "It's Your Wedding Day" replaces "You Spin Me Round," "Saturday Night in the City" replaces "China Girl," "Move That Thang" replaces "Rapper's Delight," "Casualty of Love" replaces "Love Stinks." "All About the Green" replaces "Money (It's What I Want)"

If I Told You is a pretty damn close "pastiche" of some Journey song. I can never remember the name of it.

"Faithfully"? Kind of sounds like it.
The one thing few people argue with is that the musical has much more and deeper characterization for the supporting cast, who remain pretty one-dimensional in the film.
And "Single" is a pastiche of "Rhythm Of The Night" by Debarge, I just realized.
