I am also excited for this show, even if I have already seen it
...But I won't be in America until spring of next year, when I can see it again. They are not releasing tickets beyond April 2 at the moment.
Is there any premium seating? How much are they going for?
#3re: The Woman In White
Posted: 8/10/05 at 10:28amI didn't see any premium seating options, although I wasn't really looking for it.

Posted: 8/10/05 at 10:37amI didn't see any either. I got row B center Orchestra for two performances. Maybe they're not doing premium price seating -- which is a good thing.

Maybe they're not doing premium seating because they know no one would pay the price.

Still disagree with you Erin...the show may not appeal to everyone's tastes, but Maria Friedman is stunning and it will be wonderful to see her in her Broadway debut.
We got Row B center orchestra also for the night we chose.
Now if we could just find out who else we'll be seeing on opening night of previews :0)

Posted: 8/10/05 at 10:55amWill there be some kind of discount code when this opens? I saw it in London and loved it and am comtemplating purchasing tickets now but would definitely wait if there will be discount codes available. I can't imagine them not offering discounts, even Wicked had discounts when it first opened.

Posted: 8/10/05 at 11:20amI disagree as well. Maria Friedman's Broadway debut would, in and of itself, be worth seeing, but I thoroughly enjoyed the show in London.

I just got row C center orch. for October 29th. Ah, second day of previews. I'm sure it will change a lot after I see it.

Posted: 8/10/05 at 11:26amI don't like previews, so went for a December ticket. I also like to see musicals from the mezz to get the full scope of the show.

Posted: 8/10/05 at 11:27amFor those that saw the show, where were your seats? I saw it from front row Mezz and i thought it would be better seeing it from the orchestra so that you can see 'the set' in full effect. Do you agree?

Posted: 8/10/05 at 11:38amI had perfect seats when I saw it in London twice - fifth row aisle ( which in the configuration of the Palace theatre is the center most part). Great sightlines and close enough to see facial expressions. I had no problems with the computerized projections at all. I would want to see it around the 5th-7th rows at the Marquis.

Posted: 8/10/05 at 11:41amI saw it from both the "stalls" and the "dress circle" in London. I actually preferred the dress circle for the full impact of the effects, but we were in the first row center stalls. I think that Theatremonkey acutally recommends anything in the stalls center from Row G back as the best seats at The Palace in London. So it would probably be about the same in the orchestra at the Marquis.

Posted: 8/10/05 at 11:55amThe sightlines at the Marquis will probably be better then the Palace. I saw the show from the front row of the mezz in London and it was ideal.

Probably not. The show has been running in London since September and I heard they have already incorporated some changes that will be put into the Broadway version.
I would like an additional song for Count Fosco, though - to express his tendresse for Marian in a more serious way.

Wait, is that still a possiblity? For some reason I thought it was sure that he wasn't.
I'm excited now. I'll be crossing my fingers, as well.

Ken Mandelbaum in his column on Broadway.com suggested that Michael might be cast as Fosco
