Posted: 9/4/04 at 9:01amThe word of mouth on the show is some of the worst I have heard in a long time. Shame.

I knew a couple of people that saw the show either Wed or Thu that walked out at intermission - and they are big fans of ALW. They said the score was probably the most disappointing thing they've seen from ALW. They also said the stage (basically a large screen) looked horrible and made the staging laughable.
But it'll probably run a good long while in London, although this pretty much marks the end of new ALW ever coming to Broadway.

LOL. How can you SEE a score? No wonder they were disappointed

How presumptious of you. The show hasn't even opened and already you're passing judgement! And you wonder why the 'musical theatre' is meant to be (apparently) DEAD

I understand Michael Crawford wears some ugly costumes and hair pieces.

Please don't mention Michael Crawford and Tanz der Vampire in one sentence... if you don't want to feel the whirl of a thousand hurricanes, tidal storms and fireworks

I am extremely passionate for Tanz der Vampire. Just thinking about what "he" did to it makes me puke

They are still changing the show and I hope it improves before opening (I know there is a new ending added since the first preview for example). We shall see.
I saw Phantom again on Saturday and it reminded me again how much better that show is than the current version of Woman in White.
