I am planning on seeing the last Grey Gardens and Patti's last performance in Gypsy on the same day. How long do you think it will take to get from the Walter Kerr to the City Center? I ask because Grey Gardens gets out around 5:30 (but I'm sure it will be a little later that day because of speeches and closing performance hoopla) and Gypsy starts at 7:00.
It depends on how fast you walk. I think you can easily take 10-15 minutes, I did it in February. Even if you get out at 6-30 from GREY GARDENS, you'll make it. Just don't get distracted along the way.
You should have plenty of time. Not sure how last performances go, but it seems they won't take an hour for speeches after the show. (I could be wrong) You can walk it in 15-20 minutes or grab a cab.
Well, Grey Gardens will probably be over (speeches and all if they are made) by at the most 6. I can't see many being made. I shall see the 29th though. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get to City Center.
Do you plan on stage dooring? That may be a bad idea.
I didn't plan on stage dooring because I knew it would be CRAZY.
I'm gonna try to get out of my seat as soon as possible to get out there. I don't think it'll be TOO crazy, though.
You'll be fine. Just follow the crowd of us doing it. :)
^ Excellent point. Half the audience is probably doing the same thing you are.

Are you guys all joking? The Kerr is on 48th, and City Center is on 55th. It will take you no more than 10 minutes, prolly closer to 5 minutes.
Well, including getting OUT of the Kerr, walking up to 55th and 6th through the tourists, could take a while.
