Interesting to read these predictions. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a Laura Osnes win.
Does anyone else think Featured Actor in a Musical is the weakest category in years?? I mean, it's a really dreary bunch there. This is when I wish they just had the guts to give "no award".

also keeping my fingers crossed for TONY SHALHOUB. It was the most stunning performance of the year. I can't believe some of these "experts" think Danny Burstein would win over Shalhoub. I love Burstein, but if anyone is going to be remembered from GOLDEN BOY, it's not Burstein.

If i'm reading this correctly...

5 "experts" predict MATILDA to win score and 4 predict KINKY.
Out of 4 editors, they are split between the two.

The editors are probably the least reliable of the so-called "experts." They follow the Tony's because it's a major awards show, but they are usually terrible at predicting them and aren't very in touch with the NYC theater scene. As others have said their bread and butter is Oscars followed by the Emmys. They probably just picked Kinky Boots to win because it has the most nominations.
