Some People on this board are not even worth responding to. I just don't get it. What's the sense of a person posting on a message board in which most of the people SUPPOSEDLY are not up to their supposed level of intelligence? If most of the people posting are SUPPOSEDLY morons, why even bother? That's what I don't get.

Al Dente, I swore to myself that I wouldn't respond to your ignorance, but you really amuse me, and I just have to say this: I am probably younger than you, (however, maybe not - but you make it seem as if you are so wise and worldly, and so much so, that I am forced to believe that you are..)but you still have a LOT to learn. One of the reasons why I respect robbiej, and to tell you the truth, I don't know him from Adam, but I will say, that of all the topics he has contributed to, not ONCE have I seen him call ANYONE a moron or any other derogatory term, if he disagreed with someone, or felt that a certain poster or posters were misinformed. And you know what, not only does that show respect, it shows tolerance, intelligence, and maturity. Something in which you, Namo, Bulldog, and a few others on this board know nothing about. You claim to be so much older and wiser, and knowlegeable, but if you really were, instead of denouncing and insulting others, when they are just simply trying to express themselves, you would POLITELY correct them, if anything they said WAS wrong, or try to inform them in a better manner.

It seems to me that you get a kick out of tearing others down to make yourself seem superior. Something you probably lack in the real world. Call me stuck up. Call me whatever the hell you want. But I do know this - I AM confident in myself and my knowledge, and the experience that I have acquired in my short life. And with that said, I don't have to be rude to others IF I happen to know something that they might not. And I know that there is always more to learn from others. But I find that HARD to do here, in an environment where others ostracize you for trying to initiate a conversation, or offer an opinion.

And now, I will officially begin to ignore you. You REALLY make me nauseous.

Anth, I didn't say you were a dumb dora, I suggested you not waste any time or money talking about anybody other than yourself with your therapist. Advice I stand by even more resolutely now. I would also suggest you have not heard enough people of Christina's generation sing, to make such definitive statements of her greatness.

Voice, it is actually interesting that you mention Whitney Houston, because some time back there was a tribute to her, and out of all the "singers of her/our generation" Christina Aguilera was the only one who could even touch one of her songs, and do it justice. And even Whitney herself was impressed. Whitney back before all the drama she's going through now was the best singer of her generation. She is still pretty formidable, but she needs to get herself together. And as for Sutton...she's good, but in comparison to Christina, she cannot outshine her in her sheer power, and control of her instrument, and that I CAN agree with. a few times when I have seen Sutton tackle "Gimme, Gimme" it looked like a battle to get through the "C" at the end of the song. Christina would not have that problem.

Wow....I didn't know she had all those wonderful choices in her repetoire. How long ago did you see her perform these? Because now, I hate to say it, she just seems so.....to sum it up in a word...."street". I hate to use that term, but that is as kind as I can be, to describe how she is now. And her constant devotion to Bobby Brown and her attempts to always build him up, and make him feel special is really nauseating. And sometimes when she sings in public, she seems to have vocal problems that she never had before. Once where you could see her effortlessly belt a note, I see all the veins in her neck bulging...I know that as a singer gets older their voices change, and sometimes the notes you used to be able to hit, you might have a harder time doing, but I just feel that there is something else going on with her - something she could have had control over, and now it might be too late. I LOVED her, and her talent, but the more I see her public appearances, I somewhat lose respect for her, because I compare her to how great she was, and now look at what she is now. But that's just my opinion. Anth, what do you think?

I personally think that Christina could be a very good performer. She's a wonderful belter.
