Ok, Maybe this has already been a post but I am curious...


I saw Sweeney Todd on Saturday for the third time, which I think is pretty good considering I don't live anywhere near the city. Standing out by the stage door I struck up a conversation with a woman who has seen Sweeney 13 times since it opened...It's only been opened for 11 weeks. I mean I understand if its been running a long time, and I am must admit I am a tad jealous. But how many times have you seen a show?

Twice and that was because my sister and her kids wanted to see the show and I could get discount tickets. Too many things to see. Being older, I've seen different productions of some shows.

This subject has been posted numerous times.

The most times I've seen a show is 6. However, I live in Florida (college)

People have seen shows like 50+ times; especially some RENTHEADS.

9 times DRS over six months. Not too hard or financially draining if you do lottos, plan ahead with discounts, etc. I think Therese2 and WRQ top me though hahaha Sometimes a show just grabs you and doesn't let me go. I would have seen L5Y off Broadway every week if I was into theater as much back then.

I read something in a playbill article about people who have seen shows INSANE amounts of times...like on guy who saw Rent over 1,000 times....I dunno HOW you can afford that!

i've seen DRS 4 times, and planning a fifth very soon...and it's true...the lottery and discount tickets are a blessing!

Attendthetale331- are you like stalking me or something? lol I saw Sweeney on saturday for my 3rd time too!
The most I saw something was Rent 4 times, but Sweeney will break it soon cause I'm seeing it a 4th and 5th time in march and afterwards who knows

I enjoyed Chitty but once was enough. If , however, you wanted to go back again & again great. ENjoy

does the fact that my job is as an usher count?? If so then I saw 'A Few Good Men' 128 times!!! (and was ready to shoot myself - great show but not after the 2nd time lol) otherwise ones I have paid to see:

Phantom - 2
Les Mis - 2
Woman In White - 2 (soon to be 3)
The Producers - 2

RENT- 4

Ironically, RENT is my favorite of the three. I blame Matt Caplin for this.

I saw THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD 13 times. 10 times at the Delacorte and three times when it moved to Broadway.
