The show or the actor?...That is the question!

What shows have you gone to more than once because you liked the actor, not necessarily the show? What show was it and who was the actor? This should be interesting...

Phantom of the opera.

I went that show for several times because Peter Lockyer was Raoul understudy and I really wanted to catch him in that role. Unfortunately, I did not.

I went to one of the three Broadway shows I've seen (La Cage aux Folles) for Gary Beach. My mom went for Daniel Davis. My dad went not knowing what he was getting himself into.

Actually, I love La Cage aux Folles, so it wasn't COMPLETELY for Gary Beach, but if he hadn't been in it, I probably wouldn't have been as desperate to see it.

i saw THE VIOLET HOUR for ROBERT SEAN LEONARD. the play was disappointing.

i saw A LIFE IN THE THEATRE in london to see one of the greats PATRICK STEWART.

yes, i only saw these shows once, but the only show i've ever liked so much that i went back to NYC to see it twice was TAKE ME OUT.

Wonderful Town for Donna Murphy. Victor/Victoria for Julie Andrews and sexy King I don't know how to spell his name and I know the actors name, but even at 6, I knew that I liked older men lol.

I really don't think I would've made such an effort to see DRS if it weren't for Norbie...and I certainly won't see it when he's not in the show.

If I find out that it's not a good play or musical I'll usually skip it no matter who is in it.

There are some shows that I am more likely to go to because of an actor/actress, like going to see Dustin Hoffman in "Death of A Salesman" but I also went to see it with Brian Dennehy so for me it was more about seeing the play and the bonus were those two wonderful performances.

After all "the play's the thing".

The Boy From Oz the first time for Hugh Jackman (No, duh!). After I saw it though, I just became enamored with the story and saw it again.

I liked both Wonderful Town (saw it 6 times) and Victor/Victoria (twice), but I like the preformers even more.

Well, I definitely didn't see The Boy From Oz because of the reviews. On the other hand, the only show I've seen twice is Spelling Bee, and that was definitely for the show itself.

The only reason I saw Wicked a second time was to see JLT and Joey Mac.

Most of the times I've seen RENT, it was only because I wanted to see a certain actor in a role. The last time I went was because Joshua Kobak was on as Gordon.
