Does anyone have a list of restaurants that we can be supporting in the theatre district by ordering delivery or gift cards?
Man, just so many have just closed down completely. There’s zero Chinese food in Manhattan that I can find outside this one insanely overpriced place on 42nd St. Surprisingly almost every Thai place in the neighborhood is still open, though. I know that Añejo is still open and doing takeout if you want good Mexican food. Otherwise pickings are getting slimmer by the day, as more places just continue to close.
what I am hearing from friends in the restaurant business is that staffing has become the challenge. Between the risk and the shorter hours/take home, the prospect of a long and creepy subway ride, and the alternative of unemployment, people just don't want to work.

I live near the theater district so I've been trying to also figure out which restaurants are still open. But so far I have:
- Viv (Thai, though they haven't been picking up the phone for the past couple days so not sure if they're still open)
- Galaxy Diner
- B Side Pizza (reduced hours)
- Talad Wat (Thai, reduced hours)
- Nano Ecuadorian
- Otto's Tacos
- Tulcingo (Mexican)
- Siri Thai
And there's also a few smaller chains like Bareburger, OBAO, 5 Napkin Burger, and Sophie's Cuban. I think I also got delivery from that same Chinese place on 42nd and it wasn't bad but defnitely pricey. Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles might also be open but I haven't been able to confirm.
