With the Marquis Theatre closed for refurbishment, what does a refurbishment entail?

They will probably replace the seats and do some new interior design to the walls.
Okay Bob thanks for that, do they do any other projects? I thought that's what they do, but can't they do refurbishment with the theater open, if they had very good project management and say take say 4/5 rows off sale and refurbish with new carpet and seats as they go, but leave the theatrer open?

For a whole lot of reasons, no they can't work on the theater while a show is in it. This is a comparatively new theater. They probably won't be doing much more than a little sprucing up.

They are doing a lot more than just a little sprucing up. They are re configuring a lot of the backstage area and stage door due to the area being used for the new stores being built under the Marriott.
The whole backstage area is being reconfigured. I hope they do something with the Theatres lobby. It's basically just steps and the bars.

Good to hear. It was a very poorly designed theater.

Any estimate on when the renovations are going to be completed? Summer? End of the year?
what does a refurbishment entail?
All new furbish of course.
The Marquis marquee is coming down, I guess they are getting a new one?
One can hope
To think this monstrosity replaced the Morosco & Helen Hayes
