I believe the music is actually two clues for two different shows.

Everyone jumped, totally unexpected as the lights come up on a rainstorm outside the drawing room set windows. So cool and that effect would never work today as there would be a hundred phone screens illuminating the room.

My friend saw it and loved it. But he is like 99% of the world who go to see shows to be entertained which he was. He doesn't see shows with the purpose of destroying it, analyzing every moment, song, dance step or painted flat.

Now besides just box office, there are 4K/Blu-ray/DVD/Digital sales, (which includes library and rental kiosk locations) Premium Cable, Basic Cable, local networks, PPV, On Demand, Streaming and Soundtrack revenues too. It may never make a profit, time will tell, but will most likely break even.
