I finally saw The Stepford Wives. I could not believe how many actors and actresses from Broadway where in the film.
Kate Shindle! She had a small role.
Roger Bart was hysterical. I thought he was the best part.
I can't believe they made him into a Republican.
This is your brain on drugs.
I did however, despite the bad reviews enjoy this film. Thanks to Roger Bart.

Nicole Kidman, Roger bart, Matthew Broderick... if you add Nathan Lane, you get the cast of The producers!
I enjoyed stepford wives too....
I found funny the moment when Bette Midler picks a hairspray playbill of the trash

Yes well she is in tight with Mr.Shaiman.
Pretty good plug. Kate Shindle made a great Stepford Wive.
All my friends told me not to see the film and i loved it.
I could have done without seeing Bete Midler turn into a lawn mower though.
I loved when Roger Bart said "What the hell am i wearing"
Funny film.
The best was seeing the men in the grocery store at the end.
LOVED IT!
I do wish i could get a robotic dog (kind of like aibo but cuter, a dog that you don't have to walk)

Posted: 8/15/04 at 10:58pmWell, you had two Broadway leads in Spiderman2, Tevye (Alfred Molina) as Dr. Octopus, Ruth Sherwood (Donna Murphy) as his wife. Make that three, since Greg Edelman played a doctor in the movie. Not to mention legendary Rosemary Harris as Peter Parker's aunt. Updated On: 8/15/04 at 10:58 PM

Posted: 8/16/04 at 12:34amI've been wondering where Craig Bierko went off to. Just saw that he was filming Cinderella Man with Russell Crowe. (Probably old news to everybody here but I don't get to the movies that often.)
A click for life.

During Spiderman 2, I was driving my friends nuts! First, "Look it's Tevye! He was nominated for a Tony this year." Later on we had, "Guys, that's Donna Murphy, two time Tony winner, currently in Wonderful Town", followed by "Ooh, Greg Edelmann, he's in WT too".
I was prepared to give biographies and histories of the actors as well. But I got shushed. I guess people don't give a hoot about Broadway people outside of well, Broadway.
I did the same thing in the Stepford Wives with my parents. They think I'm nuts and are rethinking the fact that they sent their daughter to a NYC school. What did they expect?

We went to see The Stepford Wives just to see Roger and Matthew - and I was curious to see Nicole as a blond (in anticipation of her upcoming Ulla). Roger had me in stitches the entire time and we cheered when his name came up (to which we received a few odd stares). He definitely made the movie and I can see him going far with a movie career (if in fact he wants to).
I actually watched School of Rock the other night with two friends. I did not realize it, but Adam Pascal was in a few scenes. His name came up on the credits in the beginning and I got so excited. My friends just kind of looked at me. I thought he had a very nice performance.

Posted: 8/16/04 at 1:30pmThe guy who played Ali Hakim in the NY transfer of Nunn's Oklahoma was Peter's pizza place boss in Spider-Man 2. Man, it just stinks when these theater upstarts take away jobs from talented, unemployed movie actors. :)

Posted: 8/16/04 at 3:01pmI loved Roger Bart in Stepford Wives. Him and Better Midler made that movie. Is it just me or does Nicole Kidman have a really bad American accent?

Posted: 8/16/04 at 3:27pmJust watched School Of Rock again yesterday. Sure wish they had put the entire song Adam sang at the end as an extra on the DVD, but I've still got the soundtrack, so it's all good.

Posted: 8/16/04 at 6:58pmI noticed Adam the very first time he appeared on screen, but my family wouldn't believe me untill we saw his name in the credits. I was very excited because I love him (if you couldn't tell from my icon). After reading this post I want to see The Stepford Wives more than ever.

Posted: 8/16/04 at 7:27pmMarci X, a movie that makes Showgirls seem as weighty and brilliant as the Godfather. What a stinker. Everyone, across the board in that film, should be ashamed of their part in it.

Posted: 8/16/04 at 7:31pmThe film was god awful.... I watched 5 minutes, then fast forwarded to the scenes I wanted to see..... I will support actors i adore even in crappy projects that they do... I think they need MORE support when they are in a crappy show than a bad one!
