Funny enough MHF and Cabaret we're directed by my father and I was definitly in the audience for Cabaret, and I must have been 5 at the most. He also directed the big production of Something's Afoot on the main stage at one point with my mother playing the role of the maid. Small world.

(And I should add that I remember your father's face quite well, and I remember him as a fine director, just not his name, (and I have nothing with me to clue me in...everything from those years is in storage).

In the Fortune Theatre Westend London, it's playing The Woman In Black now. in the programme, they say that in a scene, when the woman in black appeared, the actor did not only saw the actress who's playing the Woman but also another lady in black!!!! I thin it's quite spooky to see ghosts when acting!!!!

The Cape Playhouse is supposed to be haunted by Gertrude Lawrence herself..The theatre was built for her years ago...I have worked at that theatre alot and used to hear boards creaking and feel cold spots while walking backstage.

At my community theatre(Rome Little Theatre) we have two ghosts! One is a little girl that was hit by a car a long time a go in front of the theatre. The girl got up from the ground and said that she was ok, but when she walked into the theatre she fell down dead. I've seen her before. She likes to steel things, so we have to tell her to give it back, and she does!
The other ghost is Mr. Lamb. He was the origional owner of the theatre. There are many stories about him. He mostly haunsts(sp?) the light booth, which was his office.
I dont know which ghost this was, but one time my friend and our moms were at the theatre. We were the only ones there and we were back stage. We were on the long hall that has the make-up room and some dressing rooms are. AS we entered the hall I heared some sounds,like things falling, in the make-up room. As we passed it, I looked in there, and nothing was wrong. As I passed the door my friend, who was behind me, gasped. I asked her what was wrong. She told me that as I passed the door, a white hand reached out to grab me. Remember, no one was there but us, and I KNOW my friend was not kidding.

Mussetta, I think THE WOMAN IN BLACK is an actual show in the West End right now different from THE WOMAN IN WHITE.

Very interesting stories everyone! Sorry I don't have any of my own...I guess the closest I've come to a theatre ghost is POTO. He, he! But keep them coming! This is so perfect for Halloween! :)

The theatre at the community college back in my hometown that i've worked in a couple of times has a ghost living in it. He was a lighting technician I think and was killed in the theatre because he was working late one night hanging lights or working on the fly system or something like that with his friend another technician and his girlfriend too. Apparently he was underneath when his friend who was up at the top of the fly system adjusting it accidently dropped a pig and it fell and hit this guy on the head. This only happened about 5-10 years ago. Some people who still work there knew him and swear that they still see him around the theatre late at night. Theres even a nice little tree and a memorial plaque outside the theatre for him.

I don't know what show was happening because I heard this legend from my cousin so I only know those details.
