What are some predictions of shows that will perform? Which shows will still be open?

Here is my list (not a "wants" list but a practicality list):

AVENUE Q - "I Wish I Could Go Back To College"
BROOKLYN - "Once Upon A Time"
HAIRSPRAY - "Mama, I'm A Big Girl Now"
LA CAGE AUX FOLLES - "I Am What I Am"
PHANTOM OF THE OPERA - "Phantom of the Opera"
WICKED - "Popular" (They will want to feature J-LA I'm sure)

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I bet Little Women will be on a float. They don't start previewing until Dec. 7, but the producers would be smart to get national attention ahead of time.

I thought performances were only by new shows, not shows that have been around and established....

Nope, don't think so. MAMMA MIA! has performed two or three times.

Who decides who gets to perform?

I would think each show that wants to submits a request.

I don't think Avenue Q will perform re: This Year's Macy's Parade Performances
The Macy's Parade is very "family friendly" and they might not choice to support a show for more mature audiences.
Oh, and Harvey and the Dynamites performed last year!!! re: This Year's Macy's Parade Performances

well, they let a version of cabaret perform a few years back- tho they commented it took a very long time to clean it up enough for daytime tv

I thought it was the Macy's THANKSGIVING DAY Parade.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

Well, EXCUUUUUUUUUSE me!

It's not laziness. It's typing in a hurry so I can get back to writing my paper, doing other homework, printing out directions, and other multitasking work.

You know what I'm referring to.

Anyway, yes, the MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE.

Capn - I wasn't actually referring to you - you at least called it the Macys Parade - its when people say Macy's DAY (which it most assuredly is NOT) that I get upset!LOL

Any chance of Beauty & the Beast being in the parade?

Wasn't it in a while ago? I think I remember Belle and the Beast on a float or something, possibly singing "Something There." But that was a long time ago, so my memory is pretty foggy.

I used to work for the people who do the parade for NBC...so far they haven't decided yet. Soon as I find out, I will post.
