I rented a Les Miz video expecting the 10 anniversary concert, but I ended up renting a documentary about the European productions of Les Miz. What was even more suprising was hearing Linzi Hateley singing 'On My Own' as Eponine. Was she in the Original London production?

What you got was the Les Miserables: Stage by Stage video.

She wasn't in the Original London Company, that was Frances Ruffelle, but I believe she played Eponine at some point.

This video was produced a couple of years after the original company.

I bet Thenardier can give you more specific info.

I got to see Linzie as Eponine one marvelous Christmas Eve in The West End - was in London a short time and got the ticket at the Leicester Square booth. It was, by far, the best reading of On My Own I have ever heard. This was not long after the Carrie debacle - late 80's.

If you guys go onto www.whatsonstage.com and go onto their Les Mis show page, you guys can watch that video of Linzi singing On My Own ! Hope that helps! And yeah, Linzi's GREAT!!!! That gal never fail to amaze me!!!!!
