Three Tall Women

I love Albee- have never seen Three Tall Women, though. I have tickets to see it with my sister in April- but I wonder if it will be too heavy for her. She hated Glass Menagerie- and unless the drama is really engrossing, she is not one to go looking for meaning. Does anyone know if the play is a bit too esoteric - and maybe not so suspenseful or dramatic- for a dabbler in theater - as my sister is. I am thinking of leaving her at home and just going my self. What do you think?

Three Tall Women

I saw the original production.
From everything you are telling us, the answer unfortunately is that this play is not likely to please your sister.
The drama in Three Tall Women is engrossing. But only if one is willing to look for meaning and is not turned off by esoterica and an absence of unambiguous identifiers.
Suspense is not its calling card, much less suspense in the typical sense.

Three Tall Women

I've seen it, and if she did not like the Glass Menagerie she will probably like Three Tall Women even less. I'd find another pal to go with...

Three Tall Women

Just cancelled the tickets- and got My Fair Lady instead. I love Albee- but you gotta think of the person you are taking these things- and who would not love MFL? Well, maybe my sister- but it is a better bet than Albee.
