Is the 1950's Off-Broadway version of The Threepenny Opera the only version of the show that rnhtheatricals licenses? What about the 1994 Donmar Warehouse revival? Does anyone have any more information on this? Do they not offer any other versions/translations of the show?
I would contact them directly. Oftentimes, theatrical licensing companies have alternate versions available on request. The Weill estate though has hemmed and hawed over just about every translation since Blitzstein, so it is possible that they don't license the script for the Lincoln Center revival or the Donmar production.
Keep us posted on what you find out.

Since the Kurt Weill Foundation authorized a recording of Jeremy Sams' translation and published Michael Feingold's version in the new critical edition vocal score, I think you should either deal with the Foundation directly or Universal Edition, which represents Kurt Weill's German compositions.
