Ticket exchange?
#25re: NEED to trade these
Posted: 9/22/08 at 9:53pmUnfortunately it doesn't seem like anyone wants your tickets. you either are going to have to suck it up and go see them or just not use them at all.

Posted: 9/22/08 at 9:53pmSeriously, I would hope if someone wanted to exchange for a Forbidden Broadway ticket, they would switch with me because Im not complaining about it half as much and I CANT PHYSICALLY MAKE IT INTO THE NON-ACCESSIBLE BUILDING, because the theatre is up a flight of steps and Im a wheelchair user. I think I have a decent case for *needing* an exchange but Im not complaining cuz the money went to a good cause, the theatre donated the tix to support the cause and if all else fails Ill give the tickets to my mom who will surely enjoy it.

YOU are my favorite right now. Someone who actually deserves the exchange, but isn't bitching like fricken coolkid. Someone PLEASE trade with her.

Posted: 9/22/08 at 10:19pmYeah, I don't see what bitching about paying like less than $1 for a set of tickets that goes for over $50 does. I honestly would be ecstatic if I got to pay that much to see any show in New York. And honestly, I am a bit jealous of the Forbidden Broadway tickets, but I have nothing I want to trade, considering I actually went to the box office and paid more than $5 for my show.

Posted: 9/22/08 at 10:51pmHe should definitely quit his bitching, but I don't think I'd assume the tickets are less than $1. You don't know how much he dropped at that table.

Posted: 9/22/08 at 11:01pmGood point. I just heard that you got 6 envelopes for $5, so I guess that was my math. But then, it would only work out that way if every envelope you got had the tickets in it. But still, unless you put down hundreds of dollars at that booth and only won one set or nothing, you are probably getting most tickets for nothing.

It's little raffle tickets that some have stamps in them and others don't. They keep the pair together and staple them shut. Not all of them win. But yeah... It's a good cause. Still in the future I'll donate to the good cause with things I can take home. LOL. 3 years of trying and over $100 dropped at that table and still nothing and I'm done. :P
And mistress, I hope you do find someone to take the tickets. :)

Posted: 9/27/09 at 12:43amPlease forgive me for reviving a coolkid thread, but how did this booth work (the above descriptions are not very clear), and will there be another at this year's flea market? Thanks.

Posted: 9/27/09 at 7:08amYou buy a set number of tickets (determined by how much you pay), then open them up. If there is a stamp or something written on the inside, you win a (I believe) random envelope of tickets to a show. No say in the show or time of the show.
