When you can't find the great seats you were hoping for (not counting the quajillion dollar Premium Seats)online, what do you usually do?
Specifically, I'm trying to buy Addams Family tickets for the 17th, but ticketmaster doesn't have really great seats. And since TKTS isn't an option for this show, should I settle for the seats available, or wait until the day of and go to the box office? Or are there any other ticketing options I don't know about?
A couple of days before the show, unsold premium seats usually are released as normal price tickets; however, judging how well this show is selling, I'd buy what you can get now (but that's just me).

Thanks, Millie. That's exactly the kind of honest answer I'm looking for. When they release the unsold premium seats, is it at the box office only, or on ticketmaster as well?

In general, contact the Actors Fund's "FundTix" program (1-800-FUND-TIX, ext 182) to try and buy house seats. Tickets cost double face-value, but unlike "Premium Seats" the surcharge is tax-deductible.
However, these tickets go on sale the first of the month prior to the performance date, which means that June tickets went on sale May 1, so the likelihood that a June show is still available aren't good.
I believe it is both Ticketmaster and the box office, as they would be coming from the same inventory of tickets.

Thanks, dsapery, that's actually really awesome information I'd never heard of. I can't afford to pay double face-value, but maybe next time. lol
On a semi-related side-note, are Broadway Bares tickets tax-deductible as well?
Lately I've been periodically checking on TicketMaster.com for tickets to THE ADDAMS FAMILY for friends and excellent seat locations (all center orchestra seats within the first 10-15 rows) have been showing up a few hours before showtime AT regular 'face value' (not Premium prices).
This past Saturday afternoon I was able to locate 4 tickets together in Orchestra Center, Row M for the 8pm show.
Good Luck!
PS: you'll be able to select either TicketFast tickets (paper tickets you print) or WILL CALL (tickets will only be able to be picked-up by credit card holder).

That's what I figured, Brody. I don't mind waiting till the day of to look for tickets, but the only thing that worries me is that I'm going up to NYC just days after the Tonys, and I'm not sure what effect that would have on ticket availability.
How early in the day did you find those tickets? Don't they stop selling same-day tickets X-amount of hours before the show?
Since THE ADDAMS FAMILY isn't being represented whatsoever at the Tony Awards (no major nominations, etc.), I really don't think things will change with their ticket availability... especially for this same-day scenario.
I've been checking about noon to mid-afternoon for same-day performances. I believe TicketMaster stops posting same-day event tickets around 4pm for an 8pm show -- about 4-5 hours before an event/show.
