Ticketmaster/Hamilton oddity

I searched for this topic, first, because I swore I had seen a post on this same issue and I apologize for, yet, another Hamilton thread, but I'm a little concerned that something is amiss.

I purchased some Hamilton tickets for January '17. Yet, last week, I received an email that my performance date was coming up (on May 18th). I just figured it was a computer error and didn't bother with it.

But, I just received another email telling me my performance was upcoming in a few days (the 26th).

Has this happened to anyone else or should I sit on hold for Ticketmaster to see what's up?

Thanks.

You're fine. This is a Ticketmaster anomaly designed to try to convince you to buy resale tix for an upcoming date. I agree it's confusing, but if you follow the link you'll see it takes you to an upcoming performance that still has resale tix available. No cause for concern. If you're logged into Ticketmaster you will see your January tickets listed in your account.

Thanks for the explanation. I feel better now, although it is a bit odd and something I have never experienced with Ticketmaster.

It just started happening a few months ago. Oddly, the only show I get these emails for is Hamilton.

Try checking what you have saved for favorites. This happened to me a whole bunch of times for some shows I only looked at, regardless if I purchased or not. TM kept sending me "reminders" of the "upcoming performance". It was because somehow Ticketmaster decided to add these shows to my favorites and I had to manually delete them. Then all the emails stopped.

Hated all the extra spam. Darn you Ticketmaster, darn you.
