Tips on meeting POTO cast pictures/autograph

I just had a couple questions about meeting with the cast members of POTO at the dressing rooms.
Good idea? I just found out my hotel is on 46th street which is where I heard the dressing rooms are located? So I was wondering if this was really something, in someone with experience with Phantoms, that was OK with them before or after (it is an evening show) the show. I thought it may be a little less out of the way for Mr McGillin.

Also, I am brain dead as to what kind of 'gift' to bring???

It is rather important as I am doing this on behalf of others that it would mean a lot to and it is kind of last minute so I can't really write a letter beforehand.

No, actually. Bad idea. No attempts to gain access to dressing rooms and no gifts. How about meeting with some of your friends instead? Good luck!

As I mentioned, before a show is rarely a good time to meet any performer, especially phantoms, who just want to get in there for the 45 min. make up routine.

As far as gifts...flowers are fine for the ladies, but most cast members can't turn down "goodies". A box of good chocolates or a nice basket of some NY pasteries always makes a yummy treat that rarely makes it to the next show.

Don't count on the dressing room visit unless you know a cast member. Besides the phantom dressing room is the size of a bathroom and backstage is not exactly impressive unless you're partial to crowded, old, catacombs.

Waiting outside after is the best option to catch the cast.

I don't know about you getting to the dressing rooms, but you could go to the stagedoor after the show to meet the cast and get autographs, etc.
