I was just on the RENT site for whatever reason, just kinda surfed there. And I noticed that Nicolette Hart is back in the cast after Wedding Singer closed and not only that but she's playing Maureen. So my question is, how is she? She seems like she would be an excellent Maureen. I never quite understood why she wasn't cast as Val in ACL. Has anyone seen her in the role yet?
Haven't seen it in quite some time but mine is due this coming Thursday.

She is an AMAZING Maureen. One of the best I have seen and I have seen quite a few
I love her Maureen. It's amazing. It's really different from a lot of Maureen's which makes it that much better. She's a really flirty and sexy Maureen and she has an awesome voice. She's my favorite part about the cast right now, I recommend seeing it just for her.
does anyone know how long she is staying for?

When Wedding Singer closed, I believe she said three months, maybe four, but had no plans to stay beyond that. A poor girl can only be walked all over as a cast member of rent for so long....
I hope she has something bigger and better planned after RENT. She deserves all the success she gets, she's an amazing talent.

For so long? Before returning as full-time Maureen in January, she had previously played Mark's Mom for roughly 3 months last year. I don't really consider that 'walked all over for a long time.' I actually think that's great, considering there's people there for years before they get their chance as the regular lead, if they ever do.
I must say though, Nicolette is definitely one of the best in the cast right now. Her Maureen is quite different than most, but really fantastic!

She's very good. I didn't find her vocally up to par with the other Maureens I've seen, but overall, I enjoyed her take on the character.
I caught her as Maureen last year, as an understudy, and she was amazing- honestly I think she might be the only Maureen that I've ever seen whose name I actually remember, she made *that great* of an impression upon me.
Like her, don't love her. I agree with siamese dream. Vocally she isn't as strong as some, but she is good and definitely unique.

As a sidenote, she has some... interestingly placed tattoos.
