Today's Riedel- New Maury Yeston Musical Eyeing the Rialto this Season

Roundabout is going to put on Maury Yeston's latest musical, (with a book by the later Peter Stone and the very much alive Tom Meehan) Death Takes a Holiday with Brian Stokes Mitchell in the starring role eyeing a Broadway run this season.
But wouldn't that be fabulous? If this opened this year with a transfer of Bounce and The Visit! Ah! I'm kveling already.
But who would win best score?

I am beyond thrilled.

Any combination of Maury Yeston AND Peter Stone AND Broadway is the winningest!!! No one writes melody like Maury. No one.

The idea of Stokes in a new musical makes me so, so incredibly happy. Hoping this happens! Especially for the Yeston score.

The article never says its coming this season...

Actually, considering the season they already announced, it would appear it isn't coming this season.

The article says that its had a workshop, not that it is coming in...Roundabout's schedule (especially at Studio 54, the ideal house for this show) seems to be full.

I got the idea it was coming in this season. And it could probably play fine at the American Airlines Theatre. Roundabout has done a few musicals there.
