it is being reported on IMDB.com that Tom Cruise will play a rock star in the film version of the Broadway hit 'Rock of Ages' and he'll also get to sing 'Wanted: Dead or Alive'.

So what do you good people think of this?

Would rather he be in the movie as Les Grossman the evil producer & developer (replacing Hertz and Franz). Or maybe he could do both.

I'm REALLY excited about this casting. I'm not always the biggest Tom Cruise fan, but for some reason I think he'll be really great in this. I like him most when he's not taking himself seriously- and clearly there will be none of that in this film.
