re: Tommy Pictures featuring Alice Ripley and Manley Pope

I'm so happy Alice Ripley is going back to brown hair (I know that's a wig, but in the rehearsal pictures, she's brunette).

She went off the deep end a little bit as a blond...

Hopefully she's recovered her wits and will be back on Broadway soon.

Thanks for that link! In looking at the cast list, I discovered a friend is in the ensemble, Allison Levenberg!

I saw the show tonight. It was beautiful. See it if you can.

Alice Ripley is stunning. I love seeing her perform. I can't say the same for Manley Pope, however.

I actually really enjoyed Manley in "Tommy." His posture has improved since his RENT days. Plus his singing is better than ever.

You're right about Alice. She's so amazing. I flat-out gushed to her for like, 2 minutes straight at the stage door.

AAAAGH!

I looked at that site like, a month ago and I swear his bio and headshot wasn't there and he wasn't listed as part of the cast back then but looking at those promo pics just now - I was like "that guy looks a LOOOOT like Jared Stein, but I thought he was music directing nowadays and not performing anymore..." then I scroll down to see the captions for hte pic and yuppers, it's him!!! CRAZINESS, I haven't seen him in like, 4 years!

Did anyone see the show? He plays Cousin Kevin - how was he?
If I show you the darkness I hold inside, will you bring me to light?

So sad I can't see this! She really was perfection in The Baker's Wife.

I'm digging the brunette look as well. It's really striking and a nice change of pace. (Truth be told, I just think it got to the point where she couldn't go any blonder... haha)

CAN *NOT* wait for 20th Century!!!!!! Woo. Woo.

Alice is playing Lily Garland in On the 20th Century in September in Boston... I think there was an announcement somewhere online about it, not sure. I'm pretty excited, as that's one of my "dream roles". (And she'll be playing another one of "my" parts in December in D.C.... woo.)
