Reason: Two local productions opening in the next few weeks. Clarkson Music Theatre open their version at Meadowvale Theatre in Mississauga November 24 to December 2 and Curtain call Players are staging their production at Fairview Library Theatre December 7-16.

Posted: 11/19/06 at 7:40pmI'm listening now! I like the way you tell the story and blend in the songs. But why did you use the older version of 42 Street? I think the revival cast is better.

Recording: 1956 original Broadway cast starring Barbara Cook, Max Adrian, Robert Rounseville and Irra Petina.
Reason: 1. 50th anniversary of the Broadway opening 2 days ago (December 1st)
2. Production at Sheridan college opened this past week (which, by the way is EXCELLENT! Anyone in the GTA is well-advised to get over there and see it before it closes Next Saturday, Dec 9)
3. Another production by the Toronto Operetta Theatre opens later this month.
