Last year, the ratings were up due to "Hamilton" and I was wondering how badly the numbers will drop this year especially since Better Midler is not performing.

I haven't seen a single commercial or ad promoting the show. Last year, since it was Corden, and he had his own show, he talked it up all over the place. I really think the ratings this year are gonna be way down, but I'd be thrilled to be wrong.
