I'd much rather see Nathan Lane host the Tony Awards.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I didn't like Hugh's approach as an Awards Ceremonies Host. Rosie O Donnell was enjoyable.
The best host I have ever seen is Ellen DeGeneres. Then Billy Crystal, then Nathan Lane.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

He is handsome but he bored me last year.
I would love to see Nathan host with Gary Beach.
Better yet let Gary Beach host the show.
OR HARVEY.
Harvey would be Divine as THE HOSTESS WITH THE MOSTEST.
You can't stop the beat.
I would love to see:
Gary, Nathan, Dame Edna and Harvey present awards in drag.
I really miss Producing. Sigh.

Oh my god-
That would be fun. Katemonster in a Black tie evening gown.
Trekkie would have his fur plucked.
Ha ha.
Rod would be as dashing as ever.
That is a great idea. Thanks.
The bad idea bears would announce the wrong winners.
LOL.

Hugh was awesome last year. His long hair was sexy.

Well i think he looks better with short hair but everyone likes different things.
I would love to see him dressed to the nines maybe a custom made Tux with cuff links. That would make me melt like butter.

I know they need to have Hugh host for ratings, but isn't anyone a little skeptical about someone hosting who will potentially be nominated and may win an award? I dont know that bothers me a little.I know Nathan and Matthew hosted thier year. but still. I dont know. Ok. sorry for the rant!

Why shouldn't a nominee host? Is there some kind of conflict of interest I'm not seeing here?

There is a curious paradox that no one can explain;
Who understands the secret of the reaping of the grain,
Who understands why spring is born out of winter's laboring pain,
Or why we all must die a bit before we grow again.

I've been to the Tony's for the past five years, and as an audience member, Hugh has been the most "fun" of all of the hosts. Though he may not have been as funny as Nathan and Matthew, he was very charismatic...and he wasn't so bad to have to look at either!!!

I thought my P. Diddy comment would have more offense taken to it. I am disappointed.

sparky310,
its ALWAYS all about the hair. The first thing I did when Matt caught my eye was run my fingers through his gorgeous curls.
