really, no way connected? you jsut joined 3 days ago and have only posted in threads about Glory Days, yeah that's not shill behavior AT ALL.
And no i haven't seen it. But ive read about it and listened to the songs on the Myspace page for the show.
^Not a chance, but supposedly, according to Reidel, shows not nominated for Best Musical will get to perform anyway. He made a comment today about Young Frankenstein getting to perform, even though there's no chance it will get a best musical nomination.
I remember reading a while ago that CBS wanted more musical performances on the show, including longer running shows, and non-nominated shows. You can bet if that happens, Disney will get at least one of their shows on there. I'd also expect a number from Wicked and Jersey Boys, because of their appeal.

Yes - I joined because people were asking what those of us who had ACTUALLY seen Glory Days thought of it. Very few people had replied, so I thought I would share my opinion. Until that point in time, I only ever read the boards because I felt that people were extremely rude and like to attack each other without cause.....which you seem to be proving once again.
So, are you saying you don't wish to see truly new musicals on Broadway??? You are fine with juke box musicals and movie turned musicals from now on??? I, for one, hope more original shows are given the chance to transfer to Broadway.

oh you are so stupid its kinda funny. And so obviously a shill. I've been advocating a wholly original show thats trying to make the jump to Braodway, but thanks for playing. Your behavior isn't helping me want to see your show.
ETA, i think its hillarious that you decided to attack me for saying it wouldn't get nominated for best musical, I never said i wouldn't see or anything. simply that it woulnd't get nominated. I'll probably SEE it, hell i may eve like it, but from what ive read and Ive heard, its not gonna get nominated. now try being less of a shill douche bag, and accept that.

So you are just jealous that this show is coming to Broadway before the one you are advocating????? I'm confused....
For anyone out there who wants to have a real conversation about the show with me, I am more than willing. But I'm not going to waste time trying to convince someone I am not connected to the show. Cause....we don't even know for sure that it is opening, do we???
OMG you are so stupid. oy. NO im not jealous. Good lord, you really are the worst shill EVER. its pathetic. DID I EVER ONCE SAY THAT GLORY DAYS SHOULDN'T COME TO BROADWAY?????????? No i didn't so **** off you retarded piece of ****. the amount of bull**** coming out of your posts is astonishing. all i said was that it won't be nominated for best musical and you lost it. god, i hate to see how you're gonna react when it gets reviewed by the times and Brantley actually lays into it. do you have a corner you can cry in? cause you're gonna need it.
ETA actually we DO KNOW its opening. Whether it opens this season or not is the question. And this thread is about IF it opens this season, so again, thanks for playing, but YOU LOSE.

I wasn't attachking you for saying it wouldn't get nominated. I was just curious if you HAD seen it, because I would have liked to have a conversation with you about the show if you had. No hard feelings. How bout a welcome to the boards or something like that :)????

Hmmmm...maybe I should take back the no hard feelings comment after reading your most recent post. Sorry to have pushed your buttons. I just hope you and everyone else gives the show a fair chance by seeing it first, is all.
Anyone who did see it care to discuss??? Let me know. Thanks!

Awesome! Where did you hear that? Everything I read (including the original Variety article) just said likely. Great to add another new show to the season!

You mean they arn't going to have a helicopter land on the football field? darn....hehehe
Does everyone really think none of the big budget musicals are going to get nominated? really? With the way the world works today, I highly doubt that.
Yesterday on a Cry-Baby thread, I seriously asked if there were really shills on this board.
Today I can truthfully say, I do believe in shills!
I do believe in shills!
Looking so forward to this!

Y'know, we talk about the 'non-nominated shows' and 'long-running hits' get a chance to shine on TONY night... What about the idea of RENT performing? Hmmm?
I would put money on the Tony Awards opening with some kind of tribute/performance of Rent.
