If anyone plans to go wait in line, I’m happy to subsidize your ticket if you can also get me one.Â

Why are they $106?!?!? The Tony's aren't meant to make money, unlike a traditional production. I get that they have to cover some production fees, but still, that is a crazy price. Also based on the Black Tie requirement, I am going to assume this might be orchestra or Pit seats, which infuriates me even more, as you shouldn't have to pay to be on camera.

I echo that if anyone is going and picks up a second ticket, I'd by very happy to pay back. Heck, I'd pay you back more than the ticket value.

All Tony Awards tickets have the black tie requirement, regardless of whether they are in the orchestra or not.

Posted: 6/6/19 at 2:26pmI did it last year but they had announced it the night before last year. Waited from 7pm until maybe 10am and got an orchestra seat in the back not on camera.

Does anyone know what the radio city box office closes? Might be able to talk a friend into going but she gets out of work late.

Posted: 6/6/19 at 4:15pmI really don’t like how they did this this year. it’s a STUDENT rush? So announcing on twitter while kids are in school on a school day? Not the best. At least with rush, you almost earn the tickets because you wait, and the people willing to wait longest get rewarded. Not to mention it’s really whoever happens to be on twitter and near RCMH who gets the best tix. I know no one is entitled to tickets, I just don’t like the way they did it. That being said, I’m still glad they are giving young people the opportunity to see the show

May I ask how do you know they are partial view? Did the Box Office say?

Prior to the transaction being completed the teller stressed that they are partial view. I asked him for more info and he pointed to the seating chart and explained that there is a soundboard in the front of the center 2nd mezzanine area and that sightlines may be obstructed. I simply nodded and smiled and continued with the transaction because I do not care about that, I’m getting tickets to the TONYs. Then once the tickets were printed the teller circled the “obstructed view” warning on them and that was that. I heard the next few people behind me also receive partial view tickets. Not sure if they’re lurking here but I imagine it’s a similar situation for everyone in that seating area.

I went around 4:00 p.m. and got two seats in Row H 1st MZ! I heard the agent tell the lady in front of me that hers were partial view, but she didn't say anything to me and looking the seats up online, can't imagine they're partial view. But either way, this was a great deal!

I have a friend who is 20th in line now. The box office said they sold out, but may be opening up more.
I realize this is not the most helpful or promising, but thought I would share!
