Tony Awards student lottery?

Any info on when/if the student lotto is going to happen this year? I've heard in the past it's been a bit disorganized, so what should I expect if I want to try and get tickets for this year?

Expect to be disappointed. The probability that you will get tickets is INCREDIBLY unlikely, as is expected of any lottery. Last year hundreds of students showed up and it was held in front of the Tony Awards Pop-Up Shop, which was a terrible location because they couldn't fit all of us there on the block and some people had to stand around the corner and have the winner numbers passed through the crowd because a lot of us couldn't hear them on the mega phone.

The American Theatre Wing’s 72nd Annual Tony Awards® will take place at Radio City Music Hall® in New York City on Sunday evening, June 10, 2018.

Due to limited availability, we are not able to sell tickets to the general public for the 2018 ceremony. Thanks!

Sorry kids.  No tickets are being released to the public for this year's Tony Awards.
