Tony Interruption

I have to blow off some steam. CBS here in Dallas ate into twenty minutes of the Tony's Broadcast to tell us that there 'might' be a thunderstorm! (There wasn't!)
As a result, we missed Audra McDonald's acceptance speech and the ENTIRE perofrmance from Assassins!
I just needed to get the anger off my chest! Does anyone else agree that spending twenty minutes to talk about rain during the Tony's is unforgivable?

I feel for some reason it wouldn't have happened if it was the Oscars.

re: Tony Interruption

Now StickToPriest, while I was as upset as you about the interruption (I actually called Channel 11 to complain), a tornado had actually been spotted in Denton.

However, they had been scrolling that information across the bottom of the screen for ten minutes, so I am sure those who needed to be concerned were already well informed...

Didn't know about the tornado, but still, as you said, they had been scrolling it on the bottom for some time. And they took twenty minutes to say what they could have in two.
