Are all Broadway and Off Broadway theatres dark on Tony night? I am bringing a group of students and if we do not get tickets to the Tony's they might want to see something to see that night. Any information would be helpful. Thanks

aren't they're still Off-Bway matinee's? I could be wrong.

The Tony Awards are usually on a Sunday evening, in June. Most shows will have their regularly scheduled matinee performances. Not too many shows have evening performances on Sunday evenings. Probably the only shows' schedules that may be affected by the Tony Awards will be those shows that are nominiated. Even then the show will most likely go on but the Tony nominated actor's/actress' understudy/standby may go on the day of the Tony Awards.
