I just read that tickets to the Tony's are NOT being sold to the public this year, which is a major bummer since I already booked my flight from Texas. I know it's a long shot, but is there ANY way to get tickets?? (Also now taking suggestions for a good viewing party to attend) Thanks!

You understand why, right? It's at the Beacon this year, which doesn't really have space for any people who aren't involved.
I doubt there will be any on sale at all, no. From the Tony Award site:
"Due to the limited seating capacity at the Beacon Theatre, there are no public tickets for sale to the 2016 Tony Awards.."

Just curious, did you book your flight specifically for the Tonys vetoed you tried to get a ticket?
A good viewing party is in Times Square. I did it last year and had fun. They had live entertainmet also.

I'm so bummed tickets won't be available since I was hoping to go as a once-in-a-lifetime thing. I have expected this ever since it was announced Radio City Music Hall was not available. But I will be in town because I have Hamilton tickets on Tony Tuesday. Does anyone have recommendations for good public viewing parties? I'll be with my parents and we were thinking it would be fun if we could find somewhere we can get dressed up and go watch the awards.

54 Below has done something before. It is not on their calendar yet, but neither is Trivia Night which usually happens that weekend (and they have said that they are planning on doing it again this year). I remember tickets being somewhat expensive last year, but it also includes a large meal.
They also usually have something in Times Square if that is the route you want to go.

Thanks! 54 below sounds perfect. I'm on their email list so I'll definitely keep an eye out! I don't think my parents would be super thrilled about hanging out in Times Square, but we'll see. :)
Yes, I booked specifically for the Tony's assuming there would be at least some tickets available since it seemed to be that way the past few years. I knew there would probably be a lot fewer when they announced the Beacon, but it didn't really occur to me they wouldn't have any to sell at all. I've never tried to get tickets before, so it figures this happens the one time I do! Anyway, I'm sure it will still be fun to be NY for Tony weekend regardless.
