That is a most impressive line up of perfromances and artists.

My perfect day would begin at on the beach in Hana, Maui and end at a Broadway Musical.

YES! Green and Hirthsfield will be recognized. Yay! for the committee.

Seems like it will be quite a night.

Wouldn't it just be the most memorable Tony Awards if at the very end, after all the awards are handed out, Hugh Jackman is about to say goodbye to the TV audiences -- But then, the backdrop behind him falls, revealing a 60 foot tall AUDREY II! Then the cast of Little Shop runs out on stage, full front to the audience and sings the line "Don't feed the plants!"

That would be such great preview for the upcoming year.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
