I think there was a 100th birthday Gershwin recording a few years ago with Audra and Brian Stokes Mitchell singing selections from Porgy & Bess.

NCGuy, I believe PBS broadcasted it and (perhaps) it was the opening night of Carnegie Hall's season.

I remember watching it and being completely enchanted. They were WONDERFUL!

WHAT!!!?!?? COME TO NYC!!!!! The one thing I've wanted to see since I first heard their glorious voices, and I have no way of seeing it! PBS RECORD THIS PLEASE!

I got my tickets for all the awesome stuff going on at the Hollywood Bowl this summer... Porgy and Bess, Camelot, Sondheim Birthday Celebration and Great American Women Concerts.

Yay for living in Cali!!

hold on. Am I the only person reeling that anyone would think Audra McDonald being overxposed in NYC is a bad thing?!?!
Now, Eden or Idina or Shoshana or Arden or...well, there's a whole list of people whose overexposure I won't fight...but Audra, there's someone who, by her very nature and talent, is incapable of being overexposed.
