Between this and Elizabeth Stanley doing Bridges, I think this guarantees that On The Town is in it's final weeks.

Maybe, maybe not. There are a lot of fine actors out there and they are not about walk away from a fool and his money.

I hope he stays through Misty Copeland's run, as I was planning to go to her final performance. But it says rehearsals begin in September 1 so I guess it will depend on what that schedule is like.
Guess I'll just wait and see! Not like it's going to be hard to get a ticket if I wait....

Why did I think he was going out on the supposed On the Town tour?
I can imagine if they all had 1 year contracts, that they'd be up around now (taking into when rehearsals began last year), so this doesn't surprise me.

They announced he was, so that's a pretty good reason to think that. :) I am led to understand announced tours don't always happen so who knows. (Which is not to say he wouldn't be available to tour after Prince of Broadway.)

In this article, Tony states that the actual dates for the tour of ON THE TOWN haven't been set yet. He also suggests that he might be performing only in select cities.

The tour isn't starting until 2016, right? This show only commits him through the end of 2015. Plenty of time to rest before any tour. More of a chance of a tour happening than this Prince of Broadway actually making it back here.
I know his last performance was supposed to be September 20th, I wonder if he'll leave with Misty, or maybe with Megan?
