Ok anyone else horrified they gave this tony to Spring Awakening. Honestly they don't dance they have minor blocking and jumping around. Having seen most of the nominations I feel any of the other shows were far more deserving.
Seriously. Enough is enough.
Just look at all of the other threads, no reason for you to create a new one.
Bill T Jones is a wonderful Modern Dance Choreographer and getting a chance to do a Broadway show with experimental ideas is inspired and he did a great job.
But it was not the best of this year.
But good for Him.
I liked THE PIRATE QUEEN and LEGALLY BLONDE better for this award.

Hi Vondevinstein, welcome to the last 24 hours.
You have a big head... and little arms?
are you Sater?
Oh, CPD, that's cruel. It's not his fault you could balance a TV dinner on his forehead.
I think I'm going to take a break from BWW until this Tony thing has stopped. It's getting to be absolutely ridiculous.
For the record, I would have voted for Rob Ashford, but I'm glad Jones won. His work is exquisite.

Im starting to think the tony voters didnt SEE the other nominees.
Pretty sure there was better choreogrpahy in pretty much every other musical that opened this year.

NO WAY!!!!! That type of Choreopgraphy comes a dime a dozen. Something like Spring awakening doesnt happen very often. The whole show was Choreographed Beautifly. The movement in the show was PERFECT!!! Spring awakening deserved every Tony it won..... Maby even some it didnt win!!!!
Ashford deserved it.
But, not much that can be done about it now.
You guys must not know dance very much............. dance is about portraying the lyrics of a song through movement. Spring awakening's choreography was very suttle but PERFECT. Thats why it won!!!!!!!
