I'm really sick of seeing the following phrases or words:
"[tos]"
___________________________________________
"your favorite" "your least favorite"
(The mods should really limit the number of these per day)

"seating question"
I understand legit questions, especially if you're such a cheap bastard and paid for balcony seats. HOWEVER, I HATE when people post things like the following :
Umm Which is better for GYPSY? Row C seat 1
Row C seat 3
Row D seat 1
Seriously, who the F*ck cares? If you're asking about rows maybe 10 or 12 away from each other, that's totally legit. But do you seriously think your show experience is going to be ruined by less than a foot from the other seats you're asking about?

I'm sorry, but "Lupwned" and "Menzeled" and anyone elses last name with an "ed" is getting really lame. It was so cute there for a while, but I just kinda yawn when I see that now. (Feel free to go ahead and "_____ed" me). I mean seriously, how far is this going to go? I will literally cry, the day when someone (and i'm being SERIOUS) uses the phrase "You've been Mazzied!"

"What should I see?"
What you're really saying is, "I'm too stupid to pick a show. I can't do enough research on Broadwayworld or show websites to actually make my own decision. I'd rather have people I don't know who live in San Antonio make a decision on what I should see in New York. Makes perfect sense to me."
Face it, most all of us have seen a clunker or two. I agree with Joe (and thanks for the suggestion, I totally tried to block those sort of threads from my mind) that you should just pick a show. I believe the saying says, "Go see a Broadway show", it doesn't say, "If you're having trouble deciding between Wicked and Gypsy on a 7/19 matinee, ask people who are really biased!"

I have to agree. And seriously? When "Lupwned" was used on BroadwaySecrets for something tragic and unrelated to Broadway (a teenager was decapitated by a roller coaster in Georgia (no, he shouldn't have been where he was), and someone felt the need to say he was "Lupwned"...and the mods there let it through), it's gone too far.

Well, [title of show] is opening soon so I don't see any reason why we can't have many threads about it.
But others I agree.

Small cheese, you've already reached Broadway Lengend status. You really don't have to keep posting to earn your rank...You've gone as fas as you can go doll.
I would have rather had one with red white and blue icing, but eh, there's always next year. Thanks anyway.

I'm getting a bit sick of all the complaining.

I have to disagree with one thing: "LuPwned" or "Menzeled" was NEVER cute. Not even for a seond the first time.
"How's my seat" questions have to just be a way to brag. They serve no purpose. Why does ANYONE care about where anyone else is sitting?
And you can add "What should I see?" threads. See whatever you want.

I agree with basically everything you've said. However, posting a thread with your complaints is about as indulgent as Mandy Patinkin in one of his concerts. I wouldn't be surprised if the next Board Policeman came along and listed this type of thread under those commonly found nowadays.
After I took a bunch of my non-theatre friends to see GYPSY, they thought that they made up the term "LuPWN". They'll be so sad if I ever tell them that's not the case.
The LuPwners have been very good at scaring the socks away - and we know we've had lots of them lately. I think they're great.
I don't think there's anything wrong with "What should I see?" threads. They're not necessarily saying "I'm too lazy to think", quite often they're saying "well, I know what's out there, what would you personally recommend?".
If I'd posted one of those threads before going to NY last year, I fully expect I'd've been told to see 'Journey's End', and I really really wish I had seen that one. When I next go to NY, I'll be posting one of those threads. I know what I'd like to see, but it's always totally worth getting recommendations. What if there's an amazing off-Broadway show that doesn't have much about it online but is truly amazing, and the people here can tell me that?
Besides, it's not like there's one set list of shows you must see; things are always changing, so regular updates to this kind of thread are totally necessary. If you don't like these threads, don't read them. It's not like they're not clearly labelled. :P
I'm sick of the vague subject headers ("question!" "help!" "I am..."), but that's not really a trend. More like a come-and-go-epidemic.
AGREED Lizzie!
My favorites thread subjects, are the ones that say things like:
"Would you see a show if..."
"What if Cheno and Menzel..."

Will "Shaimaned" be included in the revised and updated doctrine?
NYC_or_Bust, I have to agree with you about the posts asking which seats are better when they are like 1 or 2 rows away from each other.
LePetiteFromage, that picture makes me hungry.
I thought I should add another "very important" thread subject that gets me.
"________ was out of the show today"
Yes, they have a contract, but let's face it;
Actors get sick, Actors do promotion elsewhere, Actors have certain days off, but most of all, Actors need to give the AUDIENCE no reason as to WHY they're missing.
Just because someone is out for a night doesn't mean they're on their deathbed. And as much as you may not believe it, they don't miss a show just because they know YOU are coming.

"Menzeled" was funny because it was commenting on the stupidity of all the "Lupwning".
