Isn`t it a great show!?!?!? Is it ever going to be revived?
Did anyone here see the OBC?

I WANTED to see it, I didn't know much about it before.

I saw the original and it and Harvey were simply remarkable -- so touching and funny and poignant. There was talk of a revival a while back, but it doesn't seem to have materialized.
If there was a revival... who would be cast? Discuss.
I'm only vaguely familiar with the show so I'm not going to say anything but I'd love to hear what you all think.
I thought I remember hearing John Cameron Mitchell was being considered for the revival a few years ago... obviously that didn't happen... but I thought that's what I heard.

Saw it and loved it.
It took me a little while to get used to Harvey's voice.
I saw it shortly after it moved to Broadway, and it was one of the most incredible nights of theatre I've ever experienced.
Granted, I was at an impressionable age... but this one really IMPRESSED.
I played Arnold when my theater group did it. Unfortunately, the only reviewer who came to see it played Arnold in the first local production of "Torch Song Trilogy". He described my performance as "...and Robert ******...as Arnold"..."
Our main problem was that nowadays most people know it from the movie version which is only two hours long and aren't prepared for a play that is damn near four hours long.

That's right, it was JC Mitchell who expressed interest in doing the revival, but he's been too busy working on financing and distribution for his film SHORT BUS, to commit to it. He was just at Cannes and perhaps once that get released, he might turn his attention back to Torch Song.
The movie was so disappointing! Not only did they cut two hours, but they removed the heart and soul of the play.
