It is a play that takes me back to a very specific time and place and that also provides incredible context for so much of the present.

Definitely the most important play I have ever seen.  Harvey used to hang out at my neighborhood bar The Last Resort in East village after shows. He was friends with the owner.

A truly significant play for its time.  Congratulations to Harvey Fierstein on being a pioneer and strong voice for change.

Did anyone see this production , sadly only ever saw a non professional one in Australia ( which was outstanding I must say )

Yes, I saw it twice.
