I would imagin that it would be pretty hard to belt those notes in DG, by just being held by a harnest and a string.
I just gt done with "Carousel", and believe me that is a hard thing to pull off for community theatre. Luckly, we pulled it off though. I think "Cats" would be hard. And B&B. I agree with the ones that have already been said.
"Oh! Calcutta! Do you know how tough it is to perform bad material in the nude?"
I'm going to have to agree w/ Gothampc on this one... hahah....

Follies just might be the toughest Sondheim to pull off. It requires a huge cast of featured performers spanning in age from 20s to 70s (even 80s), a large ensemble, tons of glittery costumes and the whole Loveland sequence is incredibly demanding from a technical standpoint. It was the most expensive show ever mounted on Broadway when it opened in 1971 and is very difficult to revive in a first clas production.
Dreamgirls is also very demanding technically, as well as casting-wise.
definetly West Side Story and Peter Pan.

Funny Girl is also a very difficult show for the lead actress. Fanny hardly has a moment to breathe in the show, there are tons of costume changes, she has to be vaudeville funny as well as dramatic and the songs are killers.
Follies. Sweeny.
