Touring Hamilton cast

Has anyone heard anything on casting for either Chicago or San Francisco? I'm guessing it won't be announced for a while? For some strange reason, I have a feeling that Darren Criss is going to be involved in one of them. It makes sense in that he "fits" the bill and he could probably pull it off vocally. I'm just not sure if being in Chicago is considered a downgrade when you've been on broadway in New York? At any rate, getting to star in Hamilton anywhere should be a coup for actors.

It's too soon. And why would casting in Chicago or SF be different than any other part of the tour?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume you are talking about Criss playing King George. I'm sure he could pull it off just fine. But I'm gonna go out on another limb and assume he definitely would not go out in a musical on a tour unless it was one that he wrote. I haven't been keeping up with him post-Glee, but I agree that it would be a step down, especially in terms of money.

Equity lists auditions are scheduled at the beginning of the new year (1/6-1/Touring Hamilton cast) in Chicago.

And working in Chicago is not a downgrade by any means.

No , I don't mean K George. He's not caucasian. He's mixed heritage so technically he could be A Hamilton. I don't think he's any worse singer than Lin-Manuel, so vocally i think he could handle it. Maybe I misunderstood but I thought the Chicago company would be there for a long time? Anyways, its been in my brain a bit because there's been some recent back and forth twitter chatter between DC and L-MM and I thought "hmmmmmm...."

ohh, you're right. I always forget because he looks Caucasian, but I think he's part Filipino. I believe he did some rapping in Glee, but I doubt it's up to snuff.

I mean, King George isn't a challenging role vocally, Many could pull that role off. I was actually just thinking to myself how funny Neil Patrick Harris would be in that role ( I doubt he would do it though). But yeah Darren would be a funny George also.

EDIT: I see we're not talking about George but I can't picture him as anyone else in the show.

That is not an indication he's going into Hamilton. Lin and I have spoken on Twitter, does that mean I'M going into Hamilton too?

With the news of fun home and AAIP going out on seta contracts what are the odds Hamilton goes out on a tiered or seta contract?

hahaha... idk.... maybe you're DC trolling BW.com message boards Touring Hamilton cast

Like I said - just an inkling - I had it with Hedwig and it turned out correct... time will tell.

I don't actually want him in the cast.... but at least it would keep him away from NYC for a while...

Yeah I can't picture Criss as anyone but King George, and I REALLY can't picture him as Hamilton. Dayum.

Petition to get Norbert Leo Butz to play the King in London? (Also where are the notices for those auditions? Is that considered in that same open touring submission process? I'm so curious.)
