Shuler took ill during the matinee and between shows was too ill to go on for the evening performance.

Sorry to threadjack, but I did a search and couldn't find anything - is there any set rule or policy concerning having/not having understudies? I remember thinking it was weird that there were no understudies when I saw the show. Is it up to the director, producer, etc?

Oh - there weren't any understudies/swings listed in the Playbill, which is why I asked....still, isn't that weird though, for them to be getting understudies this late in the game? I know it hasn't officially 'opened' yet but I would think that by the time a show is ready to play at a space like Dodger they would have understudies, hence my initial question.

Well lookie here, I guess we know where luluhead is rearing her ugly head for employment these days, paging mamamiasammy! The return of Luluhed. I feel for the cast, someone should warn them about her.

I've been out of town for months, and was supposed to see Trailer Park tonight which was to be my first show in a while. However, we were given the option to see Altar Boyz instead and we did just that-loved it!

Here's the deal. Shuler got sick about an hour before curtain. The understudy got hired about two days ago, and he was too unsure of himself to go on tonight. There was nothing that Dodger Stages could do about the situation.

to Al Dente- You're STILL hanging around making nasty posts? It must have been one or two years since I posted here-I don't even remember what I posted about but it must have hurt you deeply for you to remember so far back. And then after all that time why would you, or anyone, want to come out of your hole with a nasty post? You're still hurting. How sad that life hasn't gotten any better for you. Your shtick is so tired-every message board has someone like you. But it must be a lot cheaper for you to get your anger and hostility out on a keyboard than to try to do something about your problems. Are you and that Sammy person a tag team? So you call each other and giggle when you write something mean? Or maybe you pleasure yourself to it! Listen, take some medication-I hear they can do a lot for assholism these days.
