Trip to Manhattan in September help please

I live in the midwest of USA. And this will be my 2nd trip to NYC, I have seen Rent, Bring Da Noise Bring in Da Funk. I also saw Hairspray and Amour on Broadway on my second trip. I am looking for really amazing new material over my 10 day trip to NYC. I am not a big play lover. But I will have seen the Tracey Letts' Play The Minutes by the time I will be in NYC. Its the second one I have seen Coming in September after the summer madness. I love NYC but I used all my vacation time to see my aunt who lives in Los Altos out west. So any musicals that I should consider . Will Hello Dolly be a mistake to book now for September?

Literally no budget restraints.

I'm not sure how long you will be staying, how many shows you want to see, or how you define "new." This season? Something you haven't seen?

But if you want to see Hello, Dolly, you should get tickets in advance. (I will probably regret not seeing it with Bette Midler in what sounds like a very good production.) dramarama611's list of new musicals are the critical and commercial hits of the season. I saw Dear Evan Hansen and Great Comet on a trip earlier this month, and liked both of them very much. Dear Evan Hansen tickets are ones to get in advance if possible. It's a tough ticket. You can wait on Great Comet, as seats are available now and might be easier to come by when Josh Groban, one of the stars, leaves the show in early July.

Money's no object? See Hamilton, if you haven't already seen it on tour in Chicago or San Francisco when you were visiting your aunt.

These are the obvious choices, the shows that have won or will win Tony Awards. There are other options that other folks can recommend. It depends on what appeals to you.

If you're talking shows from the last 10 years that you haven't seen, I would also throw Book of Mormon and Beautiful into the mix. Both are successful, beloved shows. You may have already seen them on tour of course.

If you don't have budget restraints, you may be able to get tickets for Hamilton. Since this is the show everyone talks about, it should be on your list.
