Has anyone else heard of this? I have never seen a thread on this show so I thought I'd place one. It's been playing in San Diego for years! And it's one of the funniest show I have ever seen! I think it's also playing in Minneapolis .

I have heard about it. Triple Espresso I think is playing or was playing in Cleveland. What is the show about though?

Yeah, the show is so freakin funny...and it only has three guys performing. I've seen it about 7 times in past 5 years....and it never fails. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this show since it has been one of the BEST experiences I've had in a theatre.

Ya, it was in Cleveland for a while at the Hanna Theatre. I had a ticket, but never went.

"...But Kungurtseva reels off multiple fouettes and the tape is stopped so she can take a bow. The Jester, an abomination introduced to Swan Lake in Soviet times, extorts applause from the audience. The cuts don't help the storytelling, the production is bare bones and they go for the '50s-style happy ending. The audience cheers like mad at the end. It's the Russian ballet, after all..."

I've seen the original authors in Minneapolis-- plus a lot of the replacements- they are all great guys! They authors change it up at times and it just makes it better.
Brian Kelly is my favorite replacement.

Bear with me, it's been a long time since I've seen it and this is all from memory.

There's these 3 guys, named Buzz Maxwell, Hugh Butternut, and Bobby Bean. The whole night is told like it's a special performance by Butternut comemmorating all of the time he's spent playing piano and singing at the coffee shop the show initially takes place at. It then goes through a retrospective of the career and friendship of these three guys, who performed together for a long time. How they met, gigs they played, various humorous events, that sort of thing. A good deal of songs, lots of silliness. Bean does a whole faux-Western audience sing-a-long spiel as if he's performing in a high school, Maxwell does a magic act and a shadow puppet show, they all travel to Zaire to appear live on Cable Zaire, but then learn that there is no Cable Zaire and most people in Zaire have no electricity, let alone television. That sort of thing.
