Interesting article about the impact of Trumps tax policies and Broadway. I feel like Broadway is being treated like any other big business here, and he doesnt really care about the art or the artists.

Who has been the best president for Broadway?
Why SHOULDN'T be treated like any other big business? Of course he doesn't care. If it doesn't put money in HIS pocket, he doesn't care. I don't think that would be a suprise for anyone.
I don't really know if ANY president has been good/bad/indifferent of Broadway. The Obamas loved the arts, but I don't know if he helped anything other than some exposure. The Clintons also attend quite a bit - but truth be told, I don't remember how often (if at all) they ever did while in office. (But I also understand how much more difficult it is to do "normal" activities while in office.)

There are some questionable assumptions in this article. Not sure where he's getting his info from, my I haven't seen any research that shows that a substantial amount of tickets are purchased by businesses entertaining clients. And he says in 1957 that made up almost half of sales? That doesn't seem true.

The BOTS act happened on his watch, and he somewhat nurtured HAMILTON. I’d probably say Obama.

Yeah, I’m thinking that there are some execs who bring clients to shows. But, it’s certainly not half... maybe like 5 to 10%??
If anyone has any insights, I’d be really curious to know the exact #s!!
